Can’t believe how fast this summer flew by! Spent a few weeks on the beach in Ocean City, MD with my family and just came back this weekend. Tomorrow we have our first day of meetings and I am looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up. This year, in addition to 5th grade science, I am also teaching one section of 5th grade math. I haven’t taught a math class since the ’03-’04 school year and am really looking forward to it. I will have a full-time schedule this year: 3 classes of 5th grade science, 1 5th grade math class, co-homeroom teacher, advisory group, academic support, Friday activity class, daily lunch table, duties, 7:30 am meetings, etc.. Teachers are on site from 7:30 am to 4:00pm, and we wear many hats during the day.
